01/10/2019: i achieved my 2019 goal!

Well I did it. I got to the British Championship yesterday after a 10 year break from competitive bodybuilding. It’s been an incredible journey. It started last November 2018.

I had a major operation on my leg, stomach and arm. That day in hospital I decided that the day after I would start a regime to get me back into contest shape! I’d spent weeks before enjoying food (to make day 1 photos look worse) then 21 st November 2018 day after my operation I was in the gym, against doctors orders ofcouse.

Day 1 I was 192lbs at 20% bodyfat. Between 1993-2009 in all my competitions I was 150lbs 5% bodyfat. This is the weight I won and competed in all my competitions. So I had to lose at least 42lbs to be at my best. I started at

So I started using all my products. I wanted to see how good my products where at Sharpbodies Nutrition. I use Sharp Diet Whey, Fat Burners and Sharp BCAA.

The first 4 weeks December 2018 I lost 14lbs easily and I mean easy! 13st 2lbs. Then January. I knew to compete I now had only 24 weeks to hit not slim, not lean but a ripped body! So January I lose 18lbs. Now I am 11st 8lbs weight is falling of me. So this is slim weight I now have to spring board to 8% bodyfat. February results are 10lbs so now I am below my best competition weight ever!

Now comes to hardbit. How does a natural drug free bodybuilder go from 8% to 5%. Easy. Hard work! With diet ever stricter I increased supplements. Increase cardio and increase weight training intensity. 6 x 45 mins weight sessions a week.

May 1st. For the first time in my life I am 142lbs. 5% bodyfat rock hard ripped to the bone at 53 years old. I competed in the BNBF Welsh qualifier and came 2nd out of 12 athletes my first show in 10 years. I then competed 2 weeks later at BNBF Central placing 3rd my body even harder leaner. Then in August I competed in UKDFBA Southern I placed top ten.

Finally in 2019 biggest competition ever. The 2019 British Championship the Super Bowl of natural bodybuilding shows. Yesterday I was thicker, leaner, harder and more ripped. I placed top ten. And though I didn’t place top 5 this is my 6 British Championship and my first in 10 years. Bottom line is I am an better bodybuilder I have proved at 53 you can achieve and improve your body at any age!

In 10 month I have lost 50Lbs fat. Gained 9lbs muscle. Won 4 bodybuilding trophies. I am Top 10 Over 50’s bodybuilders in the UK. I had a goal. I achieved it. 2020 I will competed again. Watch me improve my body!

22/09/2019: 2019 british championships scotland

Birthday celebrations over I am now 53 and I’m flat out training for my 2019 British championships debut! I’m at the end of my 10 month journey. I have lost 50Lbs in fat. Gained 10lbs muscle. 8 inches lost of my waist. My bodyfat is now 4%. I am in the best shape of my life.

I have already competed in 3 bodybuilding shows this year and my last competition is next Sunday 29th September at the BNBF British Championships. My 6th British Championships! My first was in 1994.

12/08/2019: my debut ukdfba

It’s was my Debut in the UKDFBA yesterday at the Southern Championships. In my class 10 top bodybuilders. These guys where good! But I have massively improved since my success at the Welsh and Central Championships.

I was more ripped, much more dry and fuller. I placed outside the top 3 yesterday but my goal was to improve as a bodybuilder after a 10 year lay of I’m pleased proud of my success this year so far.

So I’m knuckling down for my preparations for the BNBF British Championships in September 29th in Perth Scotland. Follow my progress to my 6th Mr Britain Finals

After 26 years competing I realised I’d never had a picture up in my home. So far I’ve competed in 20 bodybuilding shows since 1993. This year in 2019 I am competing in 6 drug tested bodybuilding shows.

I’m proud of where I am today. At 52 I’ll be competing in my 6th British Championship in September after my 53rd birthday.

I’m pleased to say I will competing at the BNBF Central Championships on Saturday 27th July. This is my second show after 10 years away from the stage.
I am very proud to have already qualified for the BNBF Britain 2019 in Scotland. But the central championship a show I have never competed in. Every top bodybuilder in the south east will compete on that day. I will be better, harder and leaner. As always I will do my very best to be a better bodybuilder improving from my last show in June.

It’s busy! After my success in last weekends Welsh Championship things have gone crazy. The amount of well wishers, media and new clients contacting me has been overwhelming. Thank you to everyone who has supported and continues to support my journey to my 6th Mr Britain.

It’s amazing to think 9 months ago I was 14st out of hospital and now I am one of the top bodybuilders over 50 in the UK.

I’m full on training for the southern UKDFBA Championship in 37 days where I will be harder bigger and leaner.

Day 2 back at training for UKDFBA Southern Championships in 37 days. I’m pushing harder than ever to improve my package. I will be bigger and leaner. I will weigh 142-144lbs this time with 3-4% bodyfat with a harder look.

I’ve assessed my carb up for weeks Welsh success I’ll be tweaking this process in 37 days to come in granite hard. It’s also 12 weeks until I compete at my 5th BNBF British Championship.

So first day back to Sharpbodies Personal Training after my amazing success at the BNBF Welsh Championship. I’m now qualified for my 6th British Championships. Before this though I am competing in 40 days at the UKDFBA Drug Tested Southern Championships.

It’s incredibly busy at sharpbodies with 43 bookings this week. So we have moved into bigger offices at our Brentwood base. We just put our furniture and all our new pictures up! Especially love our new picture of me and Frenchie from 2009 Welsh Championship. It was so Good to be at 2019 Welsh BNBF Championships and place 2nd out of 12 athletes. My return to the bodybuilding stage went so well even if Frenchie wasn’t there I know she’d be proud of me.

This Sunday 30th June at the BNBF Welsh Qualifier I placed 2nd in a very tough line up of 12 overs 50’s competitors. I have now qualified for my 6th Mr Britain Finals!

I started preparing last November the day I came out of hospital I weighed 190lbs. I now weigh 142lbs and 4% bodyfat.

My products have powered my success I am 52 years old look and feel better than ever.

28/06/2019: i am ready

It’s been 10 years since my last competition which was at the 2009 BNBF British Championships and 2009 BNBF Welsh Championship. I have trained 7 days a week, twice a day since I left hospital on 21st November 2018. I weighed myself that day at 192lbs. I am now 142lbs. My Diet Whey Protein and Sharp Fat Burners have helped me get results beyond anything I thought was ever possible. I am 4% bodyfat and I am 52.

It’s been an incredibly tough week diet and training. The carb depletion to prepare me for my carb loading for 3 days to glycogen loads muscle cells, while sparring potassium cell loading and decreasing extra cellular water on outside of muscle cells. Basically a full round ripped look.

As ever this Sunday’s competition is for me a way to improve myself as a bodybuilder and a person. You learn something about yourself every time you compete. Not just physically and physiology but mentally. I own and run Sharpbodies Personal Training. That’s a busy tough job I love. But more importantly my family is my first priority that means my daughter Yasmin who is my number one inspiration in my life. Her talent, drive, hard work and ability stuns me. It’s makes me push harder in all aspects of my life.

Sunday is the next stage of my bodybuilding journey and that journey never ends. You are only limited by your lack of imagination. I visualise myself onstage everyday. Just like my first competition 26 years ago, I love the incredible things a human body can do and look like. As a kid I dreamed of having a ripped muscular body I could be proud of. In 2019 and 52 years old I am very proud of the way I look. I live the life 24/7 to achieve my goals. But I will never stop trying to improve and Strive to push myself to new heights. After 215 days hard diet and training Sunday is nearly here.

Yes I am 142.5lbs 4% bodyfat the lightest leanest, most ripped and best I have ever been in my 27 year bodybuilding stage career. My results are from hard work, my incredible Sharp Diet Whey and Sharp Fat Burners! I have lost 53lbs in 30 weeks. 20% bodyfat to 4%!!

I am ready for my first bodybuilding show in 10 years. I am competing at the fully drug tested BNBF Welsh Championship 30th June that’s in 4 days. I am also competing at the Drug Tested UKDFBA Southern Championship 10th August.

I’m looking forward to competing again. I’m in my first year back into Natural Drug Free Competitive Bodybuilding. I now have a goal to try hopefully qualify for the British Championship this year. Hopefully!

16/06/2019: 14 days until i compete - the return

Here we go. In 14 I step onstage again. I walked of state for the last time in 2009. I decided to concentrate on my daughter, work and my television commitments.

Now after 8 months preparation I am returning to the BNBF Welsh Championship. The BNBF is a drug tested organisation I started competing in 2002.

My return to the bodybuilding stage is so important to me. I think in 2020 my stage body will be really complete solid ripped. This year is my first year back. My body is lean. I have lost 50lbs in 7 months. I have gained 10lbs with help of my Sharpbodies Nutrition Line. I use Sharp Diet Whey, Sharp Fat Burner and Sharp BCAA! This stuff is incredible tried tested by me!

The countdown is on for what is my biggest challenge i have ever faced. To return to the bodybuilding stage after 10 years away from the sport.

My Preparations are in the last stages now. Bodyfat is now 4%. My bodyfat last November was 21%! I’m utilising my whole Sharpbodies product range to enable me to achieve my best condition in 27 years of competitive bodybuilding. I am and will be in my best ever condition!

So on the 30th June I will step onstage at the BNBF Welsh Championship which I last did in 2009. In 18 days I will be the best I have ever been that was my goal. Where I place has never been important to me BUT I have qualified and competed in 5 British Championships so the goal is to get to my 6th Britain!

07/06/2019: 23 days to go

It’s the last 21 days of my training to compete in my first bodybuilding show in 10 years!

I’ve followed as always my own individual macro ratios that are ideal for me. This is within my blood job profile which has a big impact on my food choices. So bowel flora bacteria is essential to maximise this is where the immune starts! So zero sugar, good essential fats and acidophilus are the way to boost immune system AND get a small waist with the right exercises and diet Ofcourse. I had a 35 inch waist in November now im 28!

The regime in the gym is 2 cardio sessions daily low impact and one high intensity weight session. I’m training my whole body 8 times a month. Today my stats are 146lbs at 4.8% bodyfat. This is the same as my European championships stats from 1999!

03/06/2019: 26 days to go...

I’m 26 days from my first bodybuilding competition in 10 years. I started dieting the day after I got out of hospital last November 20th 2018. On that day I was 190lbs and now I am 147lbs and my bodyfat is 5%. For my conpetition I will be 4% bodyfat.

I am competing at the BNBF Welsh Championship the same show I did in 2009 at that show I qualified for the British Championships. My goal is to qualify for my 6th British Championship. I am working flat out daily to achieve my goal at 52 years old. Bare in mind i won my first bodybuilding competition in 1993 26 years ago. 26 years after my first win I will take to the stage again. I am more fired up and excited about training than ever in my life.

My nutrition to lose 45lbs in 24 weeks are my Sharp Diet Whey 4 scoops a day. Sharp Fat Burners essential daily I take 4 capsules. My BCAA Raspberry is essential to maintain and gain muscle through the dieting process. I have never been this lean hard and vascular 4 weeks from show day.

I had the honour and pleasure to train West Ham Captain Mark Noble last month. We did a great core and flexibility workout for improved performance and function. Mark is one of the legends of British Football playing for West Ham since a teenager.A nicer guy you could not meet.
Personal Training is about maximising performance and function. Speed, agility and quickness is the goal.

I had the honour and pleasure to train West Ham Captain Mark Noble last month. We did a great core and flexibility workout for improved performance and function. Mark is one of the legends of British Football playing for West Ham since a teenager.A nicer guy you could not meet.
Personal Training is about maximising performance and function. Speed, agility and quickness is the goal.

30/05/2019: 30 days

It’s now 30 days until my return to the bodybuilding stage at the BNBF WELSH qualifier. I have happy memories of this competition which I last competed in 2009.

The year before 2008 I’d had a catastrophic back injury so 08 I was rehabilitating myself. In that year my girlfriend Frenchie stepped onstage and won the Figure class at the Welsh Competition. She looked amazing. I was so proud of her. The previous year she had won the BNBF central title and in 2009 she won the Southern title! Frenchie was amazing she was achieving things in bodybuilding not even I had done and she was and still is my inspiration in sport and life. I met Frenchie in 2006 she was and still one of the most important people in my life. Her motivation at 43 to become the best champion in the country to compete for 5 years winning major titles.

In 30 days time I will be competing for the first time in 10 years. I will go to the Welsh Championship with inspiration that Frenchie used to give me and never forget her incredible success and beauty. Although we are not together anymore here work ethic, personality and stunning beauty are with me powering me to achieve my goals. The same as she did. In 30 days I will be onstage. It’s time to unwrap this ripped body! I hope in 30 days I can make Frenchie proud and achieve the success she did.

27/05/2019: the return

So I am 240 days into my diet for my first bodybuilding show in 10 years. I have lost 45lbs/20kg. My bodyfat has dropped from 20% to an amazing 5%. The picture below is my 90 days results. My clients get these incredible results to!

I use the whole Sharpbodies range of sports nutrition to achieve my goals for this years BNBF Welsh Championship. My goal is to qualify for the BNBF British Championships in September.

This final 34 days preparation is the toughest. My body is improving everyday harder leaner. I’m taking my body down to 3-4% bodyfat which I need to impress the judges on show day. My training is morning 6am and 9pm cardio. 1pm every day is a 45 minute weight session this is 7 days a week.

In 34 days I’m hoping to have to best body in my 27 year bodybuilding competing career. I’ve had 10 years away from natural bodybuilding stage and in 34 days I will return. It feels good.

18/05/2019: i am competing!

After 24 weeks diet and training I have lost 45lbs. 10 years ago I competed in my last competition the BNBF Welsh Championship and then the BNBF British Championship. Now after a 10 year break from competitive bodybuilding I am returning to the stage again. In 42 days time I will be competing at the BNBF Welsh Championship Drug Tested Event

As many of you who know me and have followed my bodybuilding journey I started training in 1984. I did my first bodybuilding competition in 1993 when I was 26 years old. I went on to competed and qualify in 5 British Championship over a 17 year period. I am now 52 years old. I WILL be the best I have ever been in 42 days. My bodyfat now is 5%. My supplement range has transformed my body from 200lbs/92kg and 20% bodyfat and I am now 11 Stone/70kg down to 5%!!!. My chest is 44 inches and my waist is 29 inches. Now I am in my last 5 weeks prep for my first bodybuilding show in 10 years. Please follow me, to the biggest day of my life. My goal...to qualify for the BNBF British Title in Manchester.

My first drug free BNBF completion was in 2002 I was in the middle weights at the British Championships. Since then I have the privileged and honour to compete in the BNBF Britain 4 times. Their strict drug testing and polygraph policy for their athletes is the reason I am there! THIS YEAR I have big plans for many more shows.

So now I am training for 3-4% bodyfat let’s achieve our goals!

24/01/2019: body update!

Training is going well! Iand I am down to 73kg 11st 7lbs. I’m in the best shape of my life feeling amazing 60 days after major operation to my leg back and arm.

Sharpbodies Personal Training and Sharp Nutrition are flat out at the moment. We have 2 spaces that are available at our personal training studio in Brentwood on a Monday and Wednesday so contact us for Back injuries clinic, personal training or our diet lifestyle service.

In my mind competing again is a goal I’d like to achieve. It’s been 10 years since I last stepped onstage with my ex girlfriend. I have such good memories of stepping onstage. 17/01/2019: ive lost 28lbs in 57 days

It’s 2019 and Sharpbodies Personal Training is fully booked! I am celebrating my 31st year as a full time personal trainer. It’s another incredibly busy start to the year. Please get in contact to secure you booking because we do get cancellations.

As I said in my last blog update I had a major operation on 21st November 2018. I started training hard 2 days after the operation while the consultant advised me take a 6 week break. But anyone knows me that’s not going to happen! I have now lost 28lbs of fat since November 2018.

I’m now a solid lean 11st 7lbs 74kg infact I am now 7lbs of my Competitor weight in 2009. As I’m getting leaner I’m seriously now thinking about a comeback to natural bodybuilding stage sometime in 2019.

19/12/2018: fit in december

What a month! There’s no let up at Sharpbodies Personal Training. Finally this week I’ve slowed down and taken a few hours to myself after a incredibly busy December.

After my stomach, leg and arm operation on 21st November, I’ve been training hard 2 hours a day since the 24th November. I’m stronger than ever and I’m 99% healed now. My weight is also down to a very lean muscular 81kg. Down from 92kg on September 1st! As I get leaner and more muscular I’m thinking about competing again this time in over 50’s category. We’ll see what 2019 brings.

I’m out of hospital now and feeling great. As a Personal Trainer and Sport Injury Therapist I can rehabilitate myself in record time. I’m 6 days post op and back in gym 100% training around my arm, leg and abdominal op.

20/11/2018: hospital visit and holiday!

So it’s been to long since my last post I apologise for that. I’m flat out working at Sharpbodies seven days a week. It’s the busiest November ever!! I’m also training harder than ever with my cardio 60 minutes a day and my usual heavy intense 40 minute weight session everyday.

So tomorrow I’m in hospital I’m having a total rebuild and I’m not joking either. So it’s hernia op I’ve been putting of. Small arm op and knee repair. Have to say I’m fitter and stronger than ever but old injuries I’ve been ignoring have to be dealt with. So apologies will be taking time out then I’ll be on holiday soon. Why I’m training so hard aswell. I’ll be rehabilitating myself in super fast time to get myself back into the gym as soon as possible. Keep training hard and I’ll update you on my progress after my operation.

Huge congratulations for Sharpbodies Personal Training Clients September results! These clients are super motivated and getting incredible results. One lady has lost 15lbs in 28 days and another has lost 6 inches of her hips in 30 days.

It’s always a minefield trying to figure out where to start in getting an amazing beach body. First start with knowing your current weight measurements and pictures. Get those done before you start your new fitness journey. Then realise your diet and lifestyle have to change if you want to look great and more importantly be healthy.
So with clean eating, good lifestyle, Increased water reduce or cut out alcohol.
Here’s the Top 5 Most Important Diet Tips!
1. Stay Hydrated. Water is key to keep and stop you from craving the wrong foods. Most people differ from extreme dehydration especially if you drink alcohol 2-3 times a week. So try 3-4 litres of water per day, this will make you feel great, have more evergy and not hungry.
2. Eat little and often. Smaller more frequent meals are better than 2-3 larger meals. It will be lower calories and your blood sugar levels will be more sustained. You won’t get hungry. You’ll feel better and more alert.
3. No processed foods. Always stick to fresh food. 4-5 meals of oats, fruit, vegetables, salad, chicken fish and nuts is better than pre-made or pre-packed processed diet meals. 5. Eat 5 low carb, high protein, meals! This sounds like a lot but the smallest meals must be in the evening and biggest ones in the day time. Get you protein in every meal. Healthy snack mid morning and mid afternoon are essential. Then finish with your favourite meat dish in the evening steak and salad or salmon and vegetable is a great evening Meals.

Time is flying by Sharpbodies is flat out not even time to do my blog! Great to see a lovely client today who came down from Newcastle yesterday for 1-2-1 3 Hour Sharpbodies Diet and Training Plan. This amazing lady has got big plans for the future and is now also signed up for our online training from to get these goals hit.

SharpBodies Personal Training Brentwood here, I’m back! Apologies for not updating you guys on my blog. Been distracted with work and training. I’m regularly updating you now, on training, clients success, special offers on personal training and sharp nutrition supplements.
So I’ve been training like a crazy man 7 days a week. Cardio is 60 minutes a day at the moment something I’ve never done even when I competed. Weight training I’m hitting 6 days a week maybe overly training but I’m gaining like never before!

Sharpbodies Personal Training is flat out this week. Boy what a week we’ve had with all our 44 slots booked this week with new clients, new goals and some new Sharpbodies products being designed!

The work never stops as a Personal Trainer. Sharpbodies provides 7 days support to one-to-one clients and online clients. Online clients have many varied goals and this week we have clients from England, Melbourne Australia and Europe. The joys of the Internet means the world can see the good work you do. We love it.

But being so busy doesn’t mean my training takes a back seat. In the last 12 weeks I’ve redoubled my efforts to get back in top shape. Back to the body that has won me bodybuilding shows and 5 Mr Britain finals. It’s daily heavy intense weight session and 60 minutes cardio 7 days a week. It’s Valentines Day hope you all had a great day. As a single dad and a single guy my day is very much geared to my daughter and then work. So busy day at Sharpbodies Personal Training seeing 3 new clients, 2 from London and 1 new client from Birmingham booked in for 2 hour training assessment.

Then straight to gym for a great session 45 minutes cardio and a mega heavy shoulder and arm workout! So no Valentines date for me oh no. Of to see my amazing 17 year old daughter in Cats at our local venue. She the most amazing lady so proud of her. A musical theatre student and has achieved more at 17 than me at 51.

So on this day remembering it’s the love and incredible support from my family that keeps me strong and makes me enjoy everyday. Blessed

February flying by I’m hitting the gym harder than ever. I’ve been going over all my training and diet notes from all my previous competitions and now I’m upping my game. Now I have no training partner so I simply have to try fit my training in if I have a space between clients.

So my daily regime now is 45 minutes weights and 45 minutes daily cardio. This worked in the past for all my previous Bodybuilding success that’s exactly what I’m doing now. Not a fan of cardio for my previous shows, this time I’m creating a daily deficit in calories through cardio to keep my calories higher. Weights are the same. Hypertrophy rep range sets 30-45 seconds time under tension. I’ve upped the set volume because weights are slightly lighter. It’s training to complete failure hard heavy intense. What worked before works again!

A friend said to me ‘do you just train to Maintain now?’ My reply is no! I’m always building, improving, shaping and developing a better body. That never changes. Pushing to limits, taking all my supplement range, making sure diets perfect 24/7. I’m 52 this year I intend to be in the best shape of my life. Again!

February flying by I’m hitting the gym harder than ever. I’ve been going over all my training and diet notes from all my previous competitions and now I’m upping my game. Now I have no training partner so I simply have to try fit my training in if I have a space between clients.

So my daily regime now is 45 minutes weights and 45 minutes daily cardio. This worked in the past for all my previous Bodybuilding success that’s exactly what I’m doing now. Not a fan of cardio for my previous shows, this time I’m creating a daily deficit in calories through cardio to keep my calories higher. Weights are the same. Hypertrophy rep range sets 30-45 seconds time under tension. I’ve upped the set volume because weights are slightly lighter. It’s training to complete failure hard heavy intense. What worked before works again!

A friend said to me ‘do you just train to Maintain now?’ My reply is no! I’m always building, improving, shaping and developing a better body. That never changes. Pushing to limits, taking all my supplement range, making sure diets perfect 24/7. I’m 52 this year I intend to be in the best shape of my life. Again!

08/02/2018: gym never lets you down

It’s 7 days a week as usual at Sharpbodies Personal Training. It makes me reflect on how much I enjoy my job. Hey it’s my 30th year full time in fitness industry helping people to change their lives.
It changed my life in 1984 when I walked into Pumping Iron gym in Brentwood for the first time. I wanted to change my body. It’s took years of hard work but I went from 135lbs to 200lbs in 5 years. Training with hardcore bodybuilders I knew what it took to become a Champion like them. It took me 9 years to compete and win my first show the London Bodybuilding Championships. This changed my life and confidence. I was now a Bodybuilding Champion. 6 months later I broke crushed both my feet in a horrific gym accident in April 1984. It put me out of action for 5 months finally walking in June on Crutches and guess what I started preparing for the NABBA British Championships. Then my girlfriend at the time leaves me! Story of my life. So I’m crawling round the gym training. On crutches.
So there’s Zero leg training at all, dieting hard preparing for the Britain! Crazy yes but I had a goal. 4 weeks before I start training legs and 4 weeks later I’m in Birmingham competing at the NABBA British Championships. I did it. I broke my legs. My girlfriend left me. But the gym was there for me and I did what I had to do to achieve my goals. The gym never lets you down while all around you goes wrong you can be a champion. The gym always been there for me what happening in my life it’s the best thing. It’s my life and I love it! Don’t let anything stop you don’t let anyone tell you it can’t be done! It can!

A busy Tuesday at Sharpbodies. Today is 9am until 10pm. That doesn’t mean I don’t get my own workout in though! My day started 6.30 college run for my daughter then I went straight to gym did 45 minutes of cardio before my first client. All today good I always prep the night before. Being prepared is essential if you want to get your diet right more importantly results!
So breakfast was 75g Oats, 50 grams Sharp Diet Protein, 1 banana, 10 grams Sharp BCAA! Job done and easy to prep the night before.
People often ask me are supplements really necessary? My answer always the same, your diet which is your good regime must be the main most important focus. Food brings results I The right ratios for you that’s the power of metabolic type dieting. It always amazes me after 34 years Training I get the same buzz today as I did then. I started training to not only build my body but improve my confidence. Send esteem, liking yourself is maybe the most important factor for starting a fitness regime. Not to forget be healthy, staying fit and slim.
I look back now and think of all the opportunities and doors that opened up for me because of my hard work in the gym, building changing my body, increasing confidence. My world changed around me. Winning bodybuilding shows, doing tv and movie work in the 90’s. In 00’s getting my own tv shows on Active Channel and ideal world shopping Channel.
In 1984 I’d never dreamed these things where even possible. That’s the power of the gym and making every workout count towards your goals! I’ll help you achieve your goals to.

Sharpbodies Personal Training Client Kayley achieved her 12 month goal competing at the Fantastic Pure Elite World Championships in Margate.

Kayley came to Sharpbodies Personal Training in October 2016. She has lost over 45lbs in weight in 12 months. Then half way through Kayley’s transformation she said her dream was to compete. So we set out sights on the incredible Pure Elite World Championship. Kayley competed in 3 classes at this show looking incredible in her state debut. What a week! Wow so busy I’m trying to catch up with my blog so apologies for that people! Sharpbodies Personal Training is in its 30th year! Yes 30! So incredible to think I’ve been full time 24/7 in the fitness industry helping people to be healthy, happy and fit.
We have Personal Training sites in 3 areas in Essex now. Our brentwood Personal Training studio. We also have Sharp bodies Personal Training available in awesome gyms Fitness Factory Witham and Old Iron Works Gym in Maldon Essex.

Great success so far for Sharpbodies Personal Training Client Kayley. Kayley started 30th October 2016. Super busy start to the week at Sharpbodies personal training. This week is fully booked with many people returning from their summer break. Now is time to set your personal and fitness goals. That means testing your bodyfat now and lean body mass, measurements and pictures. Then you set the end goal. From there you then set short and medium term goals. The most important part of health. Bringing improved health from correct eating. Placing importance in correct macronutrients ratios from metabolic typing assessment. It's my mums birthday today this then reminds me that my birthday around the corner and I'm 51! So just back from the gym and preparing for this evenings Personal Training clients at Sharpbodies in Brentwood. Reminds me to, that at any age you can make a difference. A mega busy day at Sharpbodies Personal Training. The brentwood studio had 8 personal training clients today, which is a record for a bank holiday. Motivated clients.

This is my 30th year professionally helping people in the gym. This has led me to reflect this weekend on all the amazing things and people I've met and helped over the past 30 years. Personal Training now is a huge business and Sharpbodies as a company is on its 14th year. Before that for 14 years I owned the brentwood gym Bodyfitness previously the Pumping Iron gym which I bought in March 1988 for what was then a huge amount of money! Yes freehold property where expensive even in 1988.

My love for the sheer fact of helping people, the passion, the feel good feeling I get as strong now as it was in 1987. That year saw my first personal training instructors job, all for £3 an hour and a free gym membership! I'd gone from 126lbs in 1984 to 180lbs in 1987 and helping people from knowledge I'd gained from Champions in the gym, my qualifications my own study.

The point is now Sharpbodies Personal Training, Rehab and Sharp Nutrition Supplements have given and are giving me incredible success, income and happiness. Above all this is the same passion today excitement I had 30 years ago for £3 an hour. I'm hitting the gym harder and heavier than ever.

Over 30 years people rush into the fitness industry expecting money, fame and fortune without staying power, only to find that passion to be the best over years to be the best you can be. Stay focused be the best you can be. It took me 9 years to win a Bodybuilding show then compete for 15 years. My experience as a Personal Trainer now spans 30 years and people are travelling from all over the country and Europe to visit me. This blows my mind every day.
